Background
Design Objective
Our company encompasses numerous travel brands that facilitate young individuals in securing employment abroad while embarking on exciting travel adventures. To enhance the visibility and clarity of these brands' official websites, we embarked on a refreshing journey. Additionally, to streamline our workflow and bolster efficiency, we embraced Webflow, a no-code web design tool, for website creation. Consequently, I undertook the dual responsibility of design and development.
Background
  • Enhanced Engagement: Craft website designs that captivate and engage visitors emotionally, fostering a deeper connection with our travel brands and enticing them to explore further.
  • Distinct Visual Identity: Develop visually striking and identifiable website aesthetics that reflect the unique personality and offerings of each travel brand, ensuring they stand out amidst competitors.
  • Mobile Suitability: Prioritize mobile responsiveness in design, ensuring seamless and intuitive user experiences across various devices, from smartphones to tablets, to accommodate the on-the-go lifestyle of our target audience.
Outcomes
Reflection
This experience has reshaped my perspective on web design. Previously, I perceived it as a relatively straightforward task. However, working on these projects proved to be more challenging than anticipated. Shifting from functional design to marketing content design necessitated a deeper consideration of information dissemination and emotional engagement.

Moreover, delving into the development process provided me with a dynamic understanding of design principles. Prior to this, comprehending responsiveness in design seemed abstract. Through external learning in front-end development and hands-on practice with these websites, I now grasp the intricacies of responsive design, facilitating smoother collaboration with development teams on future projects.

Lastly, designing websites feels akin to painting on a broader canvas, allowing for greater creative freedom. It's akin to revisiting the fundamentals of UX, focusing on the functionality of each element, rather than conforming to conventional interface paradigms.
